About Our Company

Peter Pankiewicz is the Owner/Principal of Pinnacle 33 Signage Solutions. He founded the company in 2010 with the guiding belief that success in the architectural and custom sign industry is a direct result of superior customer service and "hands-on" project management.

Pankiewicz has over 18 years of experience working in the architectural signage and ornamental metal industry, rising in the ranks from designer to national sales executive prior to starting his own firm. Over the years, his clients have included some of the largest and most notable universities, hospitals, churches, transit systems, retail stores, hotel chains, and office buildings in the southeastern United States.

Pankiewicz attended University of Tennessee School of Architecture and is a 2010 National Honors Student graduate of Georgia State University Andrew Young School of Public Policy with a specialization in Planning and Economic Development.

Pankiewicz is active in numerous non-profit and community based organizations in the Atlanta area; he serves as board secretary of the Historic Westside Cultural Arts Council, serves on the board of the Wesley International Academy Charter School, and regularly volunteers for the after school program East Atlanta Kids Club.

In addition, through his company, Pankiewicz is a financial supporter of the DeKalb Medical Foundation, 9to5 Working Women, and the Salvation Army Home Sweet Home Program.

Why the name, Pinnacle 33 Signage Solutions?

The Appalachian Trail covers around 2175 miles of mountainous, rugged terrain from Georgia to Maine. Of the 800 plus miles that I have hiked on the "AT", the most majestic moments are when, after climbing up thousands of feet usually over several miles, I finally reach a viewpoint of "Pinnacle" that offers spectacular views of the valley below.

Reaching the "Pinnacle" gives a long-distance hiker a chance to enjoy a well-earned success, but the jagged mountain peaks extending farther than the eye can see in the distance also make clear that many difficult challenges lie ahead (rain, snow, mud, difficult terrain, sweltering heat, broken backpack strap, sparined ankle....the "AT" will throw something at you...). Those future "Pinnacles" are worth the effort! But they will only be enjoyed through problem-solving, perseverance, hard work, planning, and execution.

In September 2009, I set a personal record for the longest distance I have hiked in one day on the Appalachian Trail - 33 miles in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Starting very early in the morning in a dense gray fog at Clingman's Dome, my goal was to finish before sunset and triumphantly run the last half mile or so across the top of my destination, Fontana Dam.

With vinrtually no margin for error in my schedule, I unexpectedly encountered several difficulties such as a couple of "friendly" bears, rain, blisters, closed shelters, and difficult terrain. At one point I was so far behind schedule that I had to run most of the last 10 miles, but I accomplished my goal....barely.

With the faintest wisps of yellow-orange rays still visible in the western sky, my feet and legs were screaming in pain as I jogged haltingly across the top of the dam to finish those 33 miles.

The number 33 reminds me every day that success, regardless of whether the challenge is hiking in the Great Smoky Mountains or helping a customer, comes from problem-solving, perseverance, hard work, planning, and execution.

Thus the name Pinnacle 33 Signage Solutions.

Our goal is to take care of any singage "headaches" you may have, such as bureaucratic permit paperwork, managing coordination between trades, programming electronic message boards, or complex install conditions. We will succeed for our customers!

Sincerely,

Peter Pankiewicz
